Meet our team

Nina Shelton is founder and CEO of Crossing Barriers. With decades of experience, she is an award-winning producer, writer and director having worked for HBO, Hallmark Channel, PBS, Disney and others.

Nina is currently with PBS where she oversees career development programs for filmmakers and content creators. She's developed and created over a dozen of scripted and unscripted content and has produced hundreds of hours of programming. Nina was a fellow recipient of the American Film Institute (AFI) Digital Content Lab. She was also a New Media Fellow with Black Public Media through the Corporation of Public Broadcasting.

Nina has a Masters in Entrepreneurship with the University of Arizona and a BFA from New York University.
